9/7/2016 0 Comments Sleeping in the hayAnother little tour was planned, and the weather held up for a lovely weekend. Roy, Annika and I set off towards the Pilatus cable car station here in Kriens and took the views in as we were wished up to Frakmunt. From there it was a small walk up to the start of the summer bobsleigh run. Unfortunately every tourist in town was up there wanting to rocket down the side of Pilatus and so little Annika had a few tears when I said we should keeping walking rather than spend an hour queuing! From here the trusted yellow Swiss trekking signs should us a 1 1/2hr down hill trip was ahead of us (plenty for some little legs) and so off we went. It was a lovely and fairly easy walk down to the farm at Unterlauelen where our natural hay bed was waiting zzzzz Forunately there is also the Restaurant Unterlauelen next door and they happened to be serving Game from there own hunting trip, how could we not!
Gorgeous food, a nice glass or red (not for the little ones) and it was time for bed. A good farmers breakfast was served bright and early (not as early as Roy and Annika were up!) and then a 1 1/2hr stroll down the valley to Eigenthal were we picked up the trusty Post bus (Dee daa daa...) and back to Kriens. Its a lovely round trip I recommend to anyone wanting to have a little adventure with the little ones, get out and do it! Chris
