Last Saturday the RCL 'Old Farts' got together to watch the Dangels Home game and catch up with some old faces over a beer or two.
With lovely weather, great Rugby to watch (the Men's game was unfortunately called off) and some serious catching up to do for some of us, the Restaurant was booked and we where all set.... It was a great Saturday with Mates, Beer, Sun, Fun, and even something to eat... we must be getting old. Lets do it again. p.s. Thanks Fergal

A journey has begun, 4 of the RCL Pink Panthers took part in the first ever junior rugby tournament held by RCL the other weekend with great success. Only being a few for the time being, the boys played with RC Zug and finally got a taste of a real rugby game after months of training (some of them years of training!). No injuries, lots of smiles and to top it off Roy ran in his first ever try in a game, and to make it even more memorable someone got it on video... definitely got his fathers gene’s that showed in his hand off and a dummy to score. Well done all of you. A big thank you goes to the RCL PP coaches for all the time and effort put in, you must be very proud. 8/31/2020 0 Comments Roy with the RCL Pink Panthers...A great joint training session for the RCL Pink Panthers in Würenlos on Saturday, with U14 coming from Basel, Zurich, Würenlos and Luzern.
Approx 20 young boys and a couple girls really enjoyed the training session, learnt a few new things, but most off all had a great training in the rain. 7/27/2020 0 Comments Family rugby training session...A lovely Sunday afternoon and what better than a couple of hours rugby training with the kids. I haven't been on a rugby field for sometime now, let alone run around with a ball passing and kicking... wow but it was great fun.
A lot of that comes down to the team work with Roy and Annika, who also needed a wrestling session as well 😜. Thanks to those two I really had a lot of fun, we even did some sprints to finish the session off... haven't done those for an either longer amount of time! Once again the RCL Old Farts got together for a short road trip, to a Beach Rugby tournament held in Spiez. A great train trip a great day was had by all with two wins from two games. Unfortunately we could not participate in the third game to be held on the Sunday as Saturday evening we were to celebrate Guido's 50th!! But a wonderful place, a well organised tournament (thank you RC Bern & RC Thun) and a Great day out with Mates.
Well we had a very active weekend, with a full day of Rugby on Saturday (Women's, kids and Mens teams all playing at home) and a multi sport Sunday afternoon in Kriens where Roy & Annika got to try out some new sports e.g. Swiss wrestling (Schwingen), Judo, Bob Sleigh starts, climbing
And teh weather played along, a lovely weekend. The RC Dangels had there last 15's game of the current season, all though it was a mighty win to finish off (90-0), the bar has been set for next season already to claim back the national title from what looks like RC Bern. The guys Also played at home and ran a good win in miserable conditions. Looking very sharp and fit in the first half with some great rugby being played, changes were made in the 2nd half which in my opinion unsettled the fine performance they had in the 1st half, but a win is a win.
Thanks to the score keepers below ;-) 4/18/2016 0 Comments A fine Rugby weekend had by allThe Dangels won their home game up in Basel v Cern with a confident score of 46-3, what ever happened to the first half of the season we will never know but it looks like we have corrected it!
Roy and Annika were at the Kiddies rugby on Sunday morning, while I was helping out with the coaching, one of those mornings were it was overcast to start, rained in the middle and the wind came a chilled all the little ones at the end... So much they couldn't undo their laces (remember those days 😁). Unfotunately the saints lost but put in a good show, Kenya won their first World Series 7's tournament against Fiji convincingly and the England ladies won the women's World Series in Canada.... phew what a rugby weekend. A full Mr. Pickwicks all looking at the rugby, The Stuart's with there England jerseys on... But food was needed for the little ones first!
