An early morning start, a doggy weather forecast and a fantastic steep and lonely hike over the Juchli pass (2170m). The hike from Melchtal to Engelberg has been on my todo list for sometime now, and finally I can tick it off! Steep on both sides of the pass, one a touch more grassy the other with the remains of winter and rocks at it highest. It turned out to be a wonderful day, not to hot thank god and the weather only turned on me when i was sipping my beer in Engelberg.

We based ourselves for the weekend in Zernez, an area in Switzerland where they still proudly speak Romanisch, the 4th Swiss language, or maybe it was the first? Enjoy the pictures and if you ever have the chance to visit the area we can only recommend it. 5/26/2020 1 Comment A little walk to kröntenhütteIt’s always good to walk up to somewhere new, the views the people the huts. Anything new opens your eyes to new horizons and new perspectives. The view of steep mountains just makes you ask yourself can I get up there, should I go up there, do I want to go up there....? If you take that step, then only you get the answer, no one else, and that is the fulfilling thing of walking up, and getting back down of ones “little” adventure!

In these virus, Home office and Home schooling times a Walk in the nature is a must, but not with the rush
3/19/2020 0 Comments Trying times for us all...COVID-19A Virus, something created by nature, has rocked the world like no other incident in years!
Is this a warning to us all, just to show us how vulnerable we all are, how money can not save everything? I think we should all take it as a chance to reflect on what is really needed in our lives, what is most important to us, what can we live with out, look into your children’s schooling. Good luck and stay healthy!

Very Generous of him, dinner, drinks, band and his very own live perfomance a cracker. It was great to catch up with loads of old faces, especially some of the 'Old Fants' that we haven't seen for going on 25 years. Big thank you Harry, and I can't wait till the 70th. |
